Connecting the Dots..
Okay, so let us follow the dots here…
The media feels so powerful and mighty for altering the historic election of President Barack Obama.. Turns out, the joke’s on them..More sickening is the unlikely idea that the media is not aware of the ‘dots’ I am getting ready to put together..Which leaves only one analogy. The media enjoys having become the ‘bottom’ or ‘submissive’ partner of this abusive relationship.
Ms. Anita Dunn, our latest controversial figure of the Obama administration, is a perfect example of the term ‘loose lips sink ships’, considering she has made some pretty devastating remarks in front of a camera. From calling Fox News an ‘opponent’ of the administration, to referring to Mao Tse Tung as one of her favorite philosophers, the latest installment of Ms. Dunn’s ‘loose lips’ actually took place 9 months ago in the Dominican Republican at an event promoting open relations with the country.
Speaking at this event (video above), Ms. Dunn bragged about how Candidate Obama’s campaign team successfully used tactics to control media coverage:
“Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn’t absolutely control.
One of the reasons we did so many of the David Plouffe videos was not just for our supporters, but also because it was a way for us to get our message out without having to actually talk to reporters.
We just put that out there and made them write what Plouffe had said as opposed to Plouffe doing an interview with a reporter. So it was very much we controlled it as opposed to the press controlled it,whether it was a David Plouffe video or an Obama speech, a huge part of our press strategy was focused on making the media cover what Obama was actually saying as opposed to why the campaign was saying it, what the tactic was. … Making the press cover what we were saying.”
Let us connect the dots shall we?
Mr. Plouffe is a partner at AKP&D, formerly known as Axelrod (yes, David Axelrod) and Associates, which is a media consulting firm based out of Chicago. Check out their website. The interesting part is their ‘message delivery system. But feel free to browse the site. It is quite an interesting snapshot of what elections have succumb to:
We all know David Axelrod…However, what do we know of Mr. Axelrod?
David Axelrod was a top strategist for President Obama’s election, and is still one of President Obama’s chief advisers.
Furthermore, take a look at AKPD media’s partial client list.. There appears to be some notable characters on this list..
